Team Leader - Reablement Team

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Grade: Single Status 7/8 - £32,067 (OTE - £34,162)

We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our Adult Social Care and Health Department - Reablement Community Team. This role is pivotal in providing leadership and support in our Day Services for Older People and the East Sussex Community Support Service (ESCSS) for adults with learning disabilities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality care and support, ensuring our clients can live independently and achieve their life goals.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of support workers, ensuring high standards of care and support across various settings including day services and community support.
  • Service Delivery: Coordinate and plan activities and care for clients, ensuring a person-centred approach that aligns with their individual goals and needs.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct monthly quality checks, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Training and Development: Manage the induction, training, and ongoing professional development of team members to ensure they are equipped to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Client Support Planning: Involved in detailed client support planning, risk assessments, and acting as a controller of premises as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualifications: Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship or equivalent, or willingness to complete. Level 2 Maths and English or ability to pass an assessment.
  • Experience: Proven ability to lead and manage teams within a care setting. Experience in adult social care, particularly with learning disabilities or older people, is highly advantageous.
  • Skills: Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge: Awareness of CQC standards and safeguarding vulnerable adults. Basic IT skills are desirable.
