Job Title:           Service/Mechanical Engineer Location:           Warrington, Cheshire Salary:               £42K + Bonus + Overtime Hours:                Mon – Fri 08:00-16:45hrs Contract:            Permanent We are looking for a motivated and reliable Service/Mechanical Engineer to join our growing operations team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment and has experience within a heavy engineering industry. Due to business growth we are recruiting for an experienced Service/Mechanical Engineer who will be 90% workshop based and 10% on sites. As the  Service/Mechanical Engineer, your duties will be: - Stripping, inspecting, rebuilding, and testing gearboxes/transmissions. Using diagnostic software and electronic test equipment Repairing hydraulic, mechanical faults Completing reports and repair documentation Bench testing rebuilt units before they go back to customers. Liaising with field engineers or customers about technical issues Maintaining workshop cleanliness, tooling, and safety procedures The successful Service/Mechanical Engineer will have the following skills: - Must be a time served Mechanical Engineer. Solid background in a Heavy Engineering/Mechanical Engineering role. Ideally have experience with presses/lathes/milling machines/surface grinders. Ability to read technical drawings. Excellent team player. Flexible to work away from home (approx. 2 nights per month) Must hold a full UK driving licence. Additional Benefits Competitive base salary, and overtime payments.
