About the role

Nicholas Howard are delighted to be recruiting for a Data Culture Enablement Lead We’re looking for a Data Culture Enablement Lead to help our client change the way the organisation thinks about and uses data. The role will be remote with time as needed in London/ Hampshire office. Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you’ll sit at the point where data, technology and the wider business meet. Your role will be to make data governance practical, build ownership and help people understand why getting data right really matters. This is a people-focused role. You’ll work with senior leaders, operational teams and technical specialists to influence behaviours, build confidence and embed better ways of working. What you’ll do * Build awareness of data as a shared business asset and champion better data practices. * Help establish and embed Data Owner and Data Steward responsibilities across key data areas. * Make topics such as data governance, data quality and Master Data Management simple and relevant to business users. * Work closely with technology and data teams to bridge business needs and technical solutions. * Help improve data quality at source by tackling the causes of poor data, not just fixing the symptoms. * Build understanding of how data moves between systems and the wider impact of changes. * Develop and deliver engaging communications, workshops and training. * Identify resistance to change and work with teams to build adoption. * Track progress and help the organisation improve its data maturity over time. What we’re looking for You’ll combine data knowledge with strong communication and change skills. You’ll be someone who: * Can make complex data concepts easy to understand. * Is confident working with senior stakeholders and technical teams. * Can influence people without relying on formal authority. * Enjoys presenting, facilitating workshops and coaching others. * Is comfortable challenging existing ways of working. * Takes a practical, business-focused approach to data governance. * Builds relationships easily and can bring people together around a common goal. Experience in areas such as data governance, data quality, data stewardship, MDM, transformation, organisational change, stakeholder engagement or enterprise systems would be valuable. You don’t need to be a technical expert, but you should be comfortable discussing data architecture, integrations, APIs, data models and data flows with technical teams.
