Assistant Accountant - Grimsby – circa £30,000 Are you an ambitious Assistant Accountant looking to develop your career within a growing and forward-thinking organisation? Chase & Holland are working on behalf of an established business operating within the renewable energy and asset management sector, supporting some of the UK's most important infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in supporting the financial management of multiple operating entities, the variety of the role will see you involved in everything from management reporting and forecasting through to reconciliations, payments and audit support. What’s On Offer? 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Discretionary annual performance bonus Flexible working options Genuine opportunities for professional development A supportive and collaborative team environment The opportunity to work within a growing organisation making a positive contribution to the UK's renewable energy sector Free on-site gym Free parkingAssistant Accountant Key Responsibilities: Assisting with monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts Preparing journals, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis Managing bank reconciliations, cash forecasting and weekly supplier payment runs Processing sales invoices, credit control activities and purchase ledger transactions Supporting VAT returns and statutory financial reporting Maintaining fixed asset registers Assisting with year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation Supporting financial modelling and ad hoc finance projectsAbout You: Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills and experience across accounting software Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Confidence communicating with colleagues across the business A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail A desire to continually improve processes and add valueIf you are interested in finding out about this exciting Assistant Accountant, please click ‘apply now’.
