Senior Estimator – Water & Wastewater Location : London / Hybrid / Remote Salary: £85K- £90K + Pacakge Job Type: Permanent Hybrid / Remote Senior Estimator – Water, Wastewater & Utilities We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a growing organisation operating within the water, wastewater and utilities sector. This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced Estimator / Senior Estimator with a strong background in water and wastewater estimating, tendering and pricing. You will be responsible for preparing competitive and commercially robust tenders for major infrastructure projects, working closely with commercial, procurement and operational teams. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of water industry pricing, subcontractor procurement, supplier quotations, tender submissions and commercial risk. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage detailed estimates and tenders for water and wastewater projects.

Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and client requirements to develop accurate project pricing.
Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost implications throughout the tender process.
Obtain, analyse and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Review subcontractor and supplier terms and assess any commercial deviations from client requirements.
Provide estimating and commercial advice to senior management throughout the bidding process.
Work closely with Commercial, Procurement, Engineering and Operations teams to develop competitive tenders.
Manage multiple tender submissions and ensure deadlines are consistently achieved.
Maintain accurate estimating records and pricing information.
Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes, systems and procedures.
Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Senior Estimator – Key Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Senior Estimator within the water, wastewater, utilities or civil engineering sector.
Proven experience in estimating, tendering and pricing major infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of water and wastewater construction projects.
Experience obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of risk, margins and tender strategy.
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively to challenging deadlines.

Desirable Experience Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Civil Engineering or Commercial Management.
Experience working with NEC contracts.
Experience within a Tier 1 contractor, water company or major infrastructure contractor.
Knowledge of water and wastewater frameworks and AMP programmes.
