Fabricator Welder

Fabricator / Welder (Temporary to Permanent) Location: Pontefract Rate: £16.00 to £17.00 per hour (DOE) plus overtime (Higher rates may be considered for candidates with extensive site experience or a background in gate automation.) We are recruiting an apprentice-trained Fabricator / Welder for a position based in Pontefract. This role is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent. The work involves the fabrication, assembly, and installation of automatic industrial gates and bespoke steelwork. This is a technical fabrication role rather than high-volume production welding. The Role * Fabrication and assembly of automatic gates and bespoke steelwork. * High-standard MIG welding. * Interpreting and working from engineering drawings. * Workshop-based duties with occasional on-site installation. Requirements * Formally apprentice-trained and qualified Fabricator / Welder. * Proven experience in fabrication (beyond basic production welding). * Valid CSCS card (essential). * Ability to work independently and maintain technical standards. * Clean driving licence (preferred). Remuneration and Hours * Pay Rate: £16.00 to £17.00 per hour, depending on experience (higher rates may be considered for candidates with extensive site experience or a background in gate automation.) * Midweek Overtime: 1.33x after 45 hours. * Weekend Overtime: 1.5x
