Job Title: Production Operative

Reports to: Operations Manager and Area Team Leader
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Production Operative to join our team in Sparkford.
As a production operative you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets. Using hand and air tools to produce varied products throughout the production areas at the set efficiency whilst adhering to the desired quality.
Responsibilities:
* Adherence to H&S procedures and regulations.
* Operating and maintaining factory and equipment
* Assembling products using hand tools and equipment within production area.
* Inspecting and testing products to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements.
* Packaging and labelling products for delivery internally and externally.
* Collaborating with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Requirements:
* Previous knowledge, experience of factory production lines e.g basic assembly and quality control or factory operative job role preferable.
* Knowledge of machinery, hand tools, equipment and materials used in production a plus.
* Friendly and approachable with good attention to detail.
* Demonstrable skills with time and task management.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication abilities.
If you're interested in becoming a factory operative, it's important to note that this job may require a certain level of physical stamina as it may involve repetitive motions and standing for long periods of time. Also, it may require attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures. Some employers may require factory operatives to have completed an apprenticeship or vocational training, or to have a certain amount of experience. Additionally, it's important to have good knowledge of the industry specific regulations and safety guidelines.
You will undergo training, coaching and work with the Supervisory team to identify training needs as well as potential risks and continuous improvement in our operation. You will also ensure that a high level of health and safety, compliance with company policy is always adhered to.
