Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Lewisham - 3 Days Per Week - HLTA Qualification Required We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school based in Lewisham on a 3-day-per-week basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HLTA who is ready to take on additional classroom responsibility, lead interventions, and support pupils across the school. The school is specifically looking for someone who holds a recognised HLTA qualification, as this role will involve covering lessons and leading learning activities when required. The Role: Working 3 days per week Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher Leading small group interventions and booster sessions Supporting pupils across a range of abilities and learning needs Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom resources, and learning activities Supporting pupils with SEN where required Helping manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and senior leadersThe Ideal Candidate Will: Hold a recognised HLTA qualification Have previous HLTA or strong Teaching Assistant experience Be confident covering lessons and leading groups Have strong behaviour management skills Be organised, proactive, and reliable Be confident working across different year groups Have excellent communication and teamwork skillsThe Role Offers: 3 days per week Lewisham location Supportive school environment Opportunity to take on real classroom responsibility Long-term opportunity Competitive daily rate depending on experienceIf you are a qualified HLTA looking for a part-time role in Lewisham, we would love to hear from you.
