Hybrid - Team Manager - Assessment and Child Protection Team - Swindon Council Salary: £300 Per Day Hours: Full-Time 37 Hours Working Schedule: Monday to Friday Contract Length: 3 Months Location: Civic Campus, Euclid Street, Swindon, SN1 2JG Candidates must be able to attend office - 1 full week out of 6 for duty week.+ 1-2 days otherwise. Job Details An exciting opportunity has developed within the Assessment and Child Protection Team for a Team Manager. Social Worker qualification essential. As the Team Manager you will need to have MASH/ACP experience and training/management experience of the supervision of staff. The managerial role is non case holding and is in a dynamic environment where you'll be working alongside other Team managers in ACP assessing all new cases that require a statutory assessment received through the front door of MASH. Working with the other Team managers in ACP, your team will be on Duty one in every six weeks receiving new referrals from MASH to complete statutory assessment and any safeguarding processes to ensure that a child is not at risk of harm. This fast-paced team requires a manager who is able to work to strict deadlines and make safe and robust decisions under pressure. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and able to deal with changing needs and requests at short notice. Candidates must be able to attend the office for 1 full week out of 6 for duty week. Then 1-2 days the other weeks. Swindon Borough Council has confirmed that the £100 weekly travel and accommodation expenses will remain in place for all new and existing agency placements within Children’s Social Care until August 2026.
