Electrician (Contract) – Ongoing Work Location: Nottingham Job Type: Contract (Ongoing) Rate: Competitive day rate (DOE) About the Role We are currently recruiting for Electrical Test Engineers for ongoing contract work in Nottingham. This is not a standard electrician role — we are specifically looking for specialist electrical test engineers with strong experience in inspection, testing, and compliance. Key Responsibilities * Carry out inspection and testing in line with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations * Complete and submit accurate Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) * Perform fault finding and ensure installations meet current regulations * Work across commercial sites, including large-scale properties * Adhere strictly to health & safety procedures Requirements * Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on testing & inspection * Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) * City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) – ESSENTIAL * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) * Valid ECS or CSCS card * Experience completing EICRs (Electrical Inspection Condition Reports) * Ideally experienced testing large commercial properties * Full UK driving licence (desirable) What We’re Looking For * Specialist test engineers (not just general electricians) * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and manage workload * Reliable, professional, and safety-focused Apply Now If you’re an experienced Electrical Test Engineer looking for ongoing contract work in Nottingham, apply today
