Lead Engineer - Central London

We're Hiring: Lead Engineer - Hospital Environment 🚨 📍 Central London 💷 £50,000 + Benefits We're seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to join a large, high-profile hospital site in Central London on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineering professional looking to lead a team within a critical healthcare environment while overseeing essential mechanical building services and plant infrastructure. 🔧 What you'll be doing: ✔️ Leading, mentoring, and managing the on-site engineering team ✔️ Overseeing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works ✔️ Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing heating, cooling, and mechanical plant systems ✔️ Monitoring and maintaining critical infrastructure including HVAC, steam, and BMS systems ✔️ Coordinating contractors and liaising with hospital stakeholders ✔️ Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures and hospital regulations ✔️ Maintaining accurate maintenance records, compliance documentation, and reports ✔️ Supporting team development, training, and operational best practices 👷 What we're looking for: * Mechanically apprenticeship trained or equivalent qualification * Proven experience within a mechanical engineering or facilities maintenance role * Background working within hospitals, healthcare, or critical environments * Strong knowledge of heating, cooling, and mechanical plant systems * Experience with steam systems and/or BMS systems is advantageous * Previous experience leading or supervising engineering teams * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-compliance environment 💼 What's on offer: 💷 £50,000 annual salary 🕗 Monday - Friday working pattern ⏰ Standard day shifts 🔒 Permanent, secure position 🏥 Opportunity to work within a large hospital environment 👥 Leadership responsibility with career progression opportunities ⚙️ Exposure to complex and critical building systems 🚀 Long-term stability within a reputable organisation RG Setsquare is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
