Cad Technician

SEP Resource is proud to be partnering with a leading specialist engineering business to recruit an experienced CAD Technician to join a growing technical team delivering high-specification cleanroom and laboratory projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented CAD professional with experience in MEP coordination drawings who enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and coordinating detailed 2D CAD drawings for HVAC, electrical services, and cleanroom/laboratory layouts. You will work closely with project engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure drawings are accurate, buildable, and delivered to project deadlines. Key Responsibilities * Produce coordinated 2D CAD drawings for MEP services and architectural layouts * Translate design mark-ups into accurate technical drawings * Coordinate services at correct scale and routing positions * Identify clashes, pinch points, and spatial coordination issues * Produce construction issue drawings and as-built drawings * Create section drawings, reflective ceiling plans, schematics, and legends * Complete builders work drawings and standard detail drawings * Maintain drawing registers and drawing references * Liaise with engineers, project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors * Support project delivery through accurate and high-quality documentation About You We are looking for a motivated and organised CAD Technician who can work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities. Essential Skills & Experience * Qualification in Building Services Engineering or equivalent * Strong AutoCAD experience * Experience producing coordinated MEP services drawings * Experience coordinating architectural details * Ability to interpret engineering specifications and technical mark-ups * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills * Ability to work to deadlines in a project-driven environment * Good communication and teamwork skills Desirable * Revit experience * Experience working on cleanroom or laboratory projects * Experience surveying existing engineering installations Apply To apply or learn more about this opportunity, please contact Lauren at SEP Resource today
