Mechanic/diesel Mechanic

Leading Carrickfergus based Generator Installation & Maintenance Provider is looking for an individual to fill the role of a *Diesel Mechanic* to carry out jobs across Northern Ireland. With a vast number of contracts managed in different sectors, there is plenty of room for progression and opportunities within the business. We are seeking to recruit a number of mechanical bias engineers to join out team. In return you can expect a generous rate of pay, company van, other benefits plus long term job security. *As a mechanic for our company you will be tasked with completing the following duties;* * Planned and preventative maintenance * General engine servicing * Reactive maintenance * Engine rebuild works and replacing defective parts * Hands on installation of a range of diesel generators *Qualifications Required* * NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent (mechanical bias) * Driving Licence *Desirable Attributes* * Previous experience working with diesel generators / generator systems or in the HGV industry * Previous experience fault finding on diesel engines * Previous experience working with various engines such as; Perkins, Caterpillar, MTU, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Cummins * Previous experience in the installation and of modification of fuel systems / exhaust systems Job Type: Full-time Pay: From £35,000.00 per year Benefits: * Company events * Company pension Experience: * Mechanic: 3 years (required) Licence/Certification: * Driving Licence (required) Work authorisation: * United Kingdom (required) Work Location: In person Reference ID: Diesel Mechanic
