Mobile HGV/PSV Technician – Coventry (UK Wide Travel) Hours: 08:00 – 16:00 (8-hour working day) – based at Coventry site, with UK wide travel Full time, permanent Earning Potential – Salary: £22.30 per hour Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate Company van, laptop, and mobile phone provided Overview Volvo is seeking an experienced Mobile HGV/PSV Technician to join their Service Market Team. This is a varied and rewarding role combining technical expertise, customer support, and nationwide travel. If you're Level 3 qualified and looking for a role with real variety and independence, this is the one. Key Responsibilities Carrying out Pre Delivery Inspections (PDIs) in accordance with manufacturer standards Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HGV and PSV vehicles Providing technical support and guidance to dealerships and service partners Conducting technical investigations and supporting field-based rectification activities Preparing and inspecting used vehicles to ensure quality standards are met Installing additional vehicle equipment – CCTV systems, USB charging points, and vehicle monitors What You'll Need NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) – essential Proven experience within the HGV or PSV industry – essential Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Full UK driving licence – PSV licence desirable but not essential What's On Offer £22.30/hr + overtime at 1.5x Company van, laptop, and mobile phone provided Competitive pension – employer contributions matched up to 5% 25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 days with service, plus bank holidays Employee discounts – shopping, leisure, and travel Enhanced maternity and paternity benefits UK wide travel – variety and independence Think you might be a good fit?
