They are looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join their pre-construction team.About the Role You will prepare competitive and technically compliant estimates for mechanical packages, working closely with suppliers, subcontractors, design teams and operational colleagues.Key ResponsibilitiesReview tender documents, drawings and specificationsComplete mechanical take-offs and prepare detailed estimatesObtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotationsBuild labour, material, plant and subcontract costsIdentify tender risks, exclusions and value-engineering opportunitiesPrepare tender summaries and handover informationLiaise with clients, consultants and internal project teamsMaintain estimating records and cost informationSupport tender interviews and post-tender clarificationsSkills and ExperienceMechanical estimating experience within building servicesStrong understanding of HVAC, pipework and mechanical systemsAbility to interpret drawings and specificationsGood numerical, analytical and Excel skillsStrong supplier and subcontractor knowledgeAccurate, organised and able to meet tender deadlinesBenefitsPermanent position within an established M&E contractorVaried mechanical tender pipelineClose collaboration with pre-construction and delivery teamsOpportunity to influence value engineering and project strategyLong-term career development
