The Opportunity As our new Procurement Officer, you'll take ownership of Procurement activities from initial request through to supplier selection, purchasing, contract completion and ongoing supplier management. Working alongside an experienced Procurement Manager, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the Procurement lifecycle, giving you the perfect platform to develop your Procurement career into Senior Procurement, Category Management or Strategic Procurement in the future. No two days will ever be the same. One day you'll be managing software Procurement. The next you'll be analysing supplier spend, supporting commercial negotiations or helping improve Procurement processes across the organisation. What You'll Be Doing As Procurement Officer you'll be responsible for: Managing Procurement requests from initial enquiry through to purchase order and contract completion Acting as the first point of contact for Procurement queries across the business Building excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers Coordinating approvals to ensure Procurement projects are delivered efficiently Maintaining accurate Procurement records and documentation Conducting supplier research and obtaining quotations Supporting RFQs, supplier comparisons and sourcing exercises Building strong supplier partnerships Maintaining contract records and monitoring renewals Supporting supplier due diligence, governance and Procurement compliance Identifying Procurement risks and escalating where appropriate Supporting IT Procurement including software, SaaS platforms, infrastructure and technology services Working closely with IT teams to understand business requirements Tracking software licences, subscriptions and renewal schedules Producing Procurement reports and analysing supplier spend Identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiencies and strengthen Procurement processes Promoting Procurement best practice across the organisation What We're Looking For You'll already have experience within Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain and be ready to take the next exciting step in your career. You'll probably have: 2-5 years' Procurement, Purchasing or Commercial experience Experience managing Procurement activities from beginning to end Experience supporting supplier sourcing exercises including RFQs and supplier comparisons Excellent organisation and attention to detail Strong Excel and reporting skills The ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels A good understanding of Procurement governance and commercial processes Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously It would also be fantastic if you have: Experience within IT Procurement Knowledge of software, SaaS or technology Procurement Experience analysing supplier spend Exposure to regulated business environments CIPS qualification (or currently working towards one) Why Join?
