Managing Engineer – Risk Insights, Risk Engineering

• Lead and manage a team delivering data products, ETLs, Python automations, dashboards, and reporting solutions
• Set technical direction across data ingestion, transformation, automation, and visualisation
• Contribute hands‑on to architecture, design reviews, and critical-path Python, ETL, and dashboard development
• Own operational outcomes including data quality, reliability, performance, and dashboard availability
• Partner with TORC leaders, Digital Product Managers, and stakeholders to align on data needs and delivery priorities
• Drive modern data engineering practices including CI/CD, automated validation, monitoring, and reusable data patterns
• Translate risk and compliance needs into scalable data models, workflows, and insight‑driven solutions
• Enable strong agile execution focused on measurable outcomes and business value
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, data accessibility, and trusted reporting

Requirements

• Legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with hands‑on Python and data product delivery
• Minimum of 2 years leading engineers with technical oversight, including architecture, code reviews, and delivery coaching
• Experience building and operating scalable data pipelines, ETLs, and analytical/reporting systems
• Strong experience with data modeling, APIs, backend integrations, and data quality practices
• Knowledge of modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, testing, observability, and automation
• Experience delivering dashboards and translating complex data into actionable insights
• Experience in risk, compliance, security, or technology operations domains desirable
• Exposure to cloud-native and containerized environments, including AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker desirable
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and developing technical leaders desirable
• Familiarity with operational metrics, reporting, or control effectiveness measures desirable
