Electrical Installation Supervisor - Wastewater Treatment
An experienced Electrical Installation Supervisor is required to oversee electrical installation activities across wastewater treatment projects.
The successful candidate will supervise electrical subcontractors and site activities, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, BS7671 Wiring Regulations and relevant water industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
·Supervise day-to-day electrical installation works across wastewater treatment sites.
·Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site activities to support project programme milestones.
·Ensure all works comply with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
·Oversee the installation of containment systems, cabling, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation and associated EICA equipment.
·Ensure electrical installations are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and relevant industry standards.
·Liaise with Project Managers, construction teams, client representatives and commissioning engineers.
·Monitor site progress, identify potential issues and support the resolution of technical or installation problems.
·Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and installation documentation.
·Support inspection, testing and snagging activities through to project completion.
·Assist commissioning teams with the transition from installation through to final handover.
Essential Requirements
·Proven experience working as an Electrical Installation Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor or EICA Supervisor.
·Strong experience delivering projects within the water or wastewater treatment sector.
·Good working knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations and electrical safe systems of work.
·Experience supervising electrical subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
·Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
·Experience with electrical containment, cabling, MCCs, control panels and instrumentation.
·Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.
·SSSTS or SMSTS.
·Relevant ECS/CSCS certification.
Desirable Experience
·Previous experience working to Severn Trent Water standards and specifications.
·Experience working on live operational water or wastewater treatment sites.
·Previous involvement in electrical commissioning activities.
·Experience supporting SATs, loop checks, cable checks, functional testing and fault finding.
·Experience supporting systems through testing, commissioning and final handover.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Electrical Supervisor with a strong EICA background who is comfortable taking responsibility for installation quality, subcontractor coordination and site delivery across wastewater infrastructure projects
