The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join the company's growing Construction Division. This role will involve commercial responsibility across a varied portfolio of projects including new build developments, Extensions, Refurbishment schemes, Commercial construction projects, Public sector developments.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager, Contracts Managers, Site Managers and clients, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered within budget whilst maximising profitability and maintaining strong client relationships. This position offers genuine long-term career development within a financially stable and expanding business.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Managing the commercial aspects of multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to final account
* Preparing accurate cost plans, budgets and forecasts
* Producing valuations, applications for payment and interim valuations
* Managing subcontract procurement, tender analysis and appointment
* Preparing and negotiating subcontract agreements
* Measuring works and preparing bills of quantities where required
* Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies
* Monitoring project costs, cash flow and profitability
* Pricing variations and negotiating change control
* Managing subcontractor accounts, payments and final accounts
* Preparing monthly cost reports and financial forecasts
* Liaising closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and operational teams
* Supporting project delivery teams with commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle
* Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
* Assisting in dispute avoidance and commercial resolution where necessary
* Preparing and agreeing final accounts
