Site Manager (Overhead Lines) - South + East Scotland
This is a site-based position with travel across multiple project locations. The role is full time/permanent based on a 37 hour week, with a salary up to £62,425 and a strong benefits package, overtime opportunities and a pension scheme where we will double match your contribution up to 10% of your contribution.

From large‑scale network developments to future‑focused expansion, the work you’ll be part of will play a vital role in enabling a cleaner, greener energy system.
Acting as the primary on‑site representative, you’ll take ownership of site activities and provide technical support and guidance throughout the overhead line construction phase.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Monitor and manage contractor programmes in line with overall project delivery timelines
- Oversee the construction and commissioning of overhead line projects
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and environmental standards
- Drive quality and environmental performance, ensuring mitigation measures are implemented and monitored
- Support the delivery of works across distribution and transmission networks

We’re open to candidates from a range of backgrounds within overhead lines and utilities. You might already be a Site Manager, or be looking to step up from a hands‑on or supervisory role.
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- Experience working on overhead line or transmission projects, ideally within utilities or infrastructure
- Exposure to projects across distribution and/or transmission networks (11kV – 400kV)
- Experience on higher voltage works (132kV, 275kV or 400kV) would be advantageous, but not essential
- A good understanding of overhead line construction, maintenance or commissioning activities (e.g. foundations, pole/tower erection, stringing or reconductoring)
- Experience working within a DNO, utilities, or infrastructure environment
- Knowledge of CDM regulations, site safety and temporary works
- Experience reviewing, approving or working with RAMS and permit systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with contractors and site team

Overtime Payments (Overtime is optional)
- Mon–Sat (8pm–midnight): Time & ½
- Mon–Sat (midnight–8am): Double Time
- Sundays: Double Time
