Export Documentation Clerk

Our client, a global freight forwarding company, is looking to recruit an Export Documentation Clerk to join their Air Freight team. This is an excellent opportunity for either someone with around 2 years’ experience in export documentation or a junior candidate with knowledge of the shipping or freight forwarding industry who is looking to build a long-term career. Working within a busy and supportive team environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and processing export documentation for air freight shipments while ensuring all customer and compliance requirements are met. Key Responsibilities * Preparing and processing air freight export documentation * Ensuring all shipping paperwork is completed accurately and on time * Liaising with airlines, customers, overseas agents, and internal departments * Handling shipment files from start to finish * Monitoring shipment progress and providing customer updates * Ensuring compliance with customs and export regulations * Supporting the wider air freight operations team as required Requirements * Previous experience within freight forwarding, shipping, or export documentation preferred * Junior candidates with industry knowledge will also be considered * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills * Good communication skills and ability to work within a fast-paced environment * Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines * Knowledge of air freight processes would be advantageous What’s on Offer * Salary between £27,000 – £30,000 depending on experience * Opportunity to join a global and well-established freight forwarding business * Training and career development opportunities * Supportive team environment with long-term progression potential This role would suit someone looking to develop their career within air freight and export operations while gaining experience with a leading logistics provider
