A welcoming and inclusive Specialist School in Thatcham is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Assistant to join their supportive team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Complex Needs Assistant to provide meaningful 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism (ASD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), physical disabilities, communication needs, and medical requirements. This Complex Needs Assistant role will involve: Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs Supporting pupils with communication, sensory, physical, and learning needs Assisting with personal care where required Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff Encouraging pupils to develop their confidence, independence, and social skills ASAP start Well-connected location with good public transport linksIf you have previous experience in care, support work, education, or working with children with additional needs, we would love to hear from you.
