Pay Rates

Standard PAYE Rates

Monday to Friday: £19.50 per hour
Saturday: £21.50 per hour
Sunday / Bank Holiday: £21.50 per hour

PAYE Rates with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay

Monday to Friday: £21.85 per hour
Saturday: £24.10 per hour
Sunday / Bank Holiday: £24.10 per hour
Rolled-up holiday pay is available as an optional payment method for this vacancy.

About the Role

Pure Staff are recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Night Driver on behalf of a leading logistics and distribution business. This is an ongoing opportunity delivering to retail locations across the UK, offering a supportive working environment, modern vehicles and excellent earning potential.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a HGV Class 1 Night Driver , your responsibilities will include:
Completing supermarket and retail store deliveries
Carrying out vehicle and trailer safety inspections before each shift
Safely transporting goods while complying with all transport legislation
Completing self-tip deliveries at customer locations
Unloading roll cages using tail lifts and pump trucks
Handballing stock where required
Completing all delivery paperwork and POD documentation accurately
Following planned delivery routes and delivery schedules
Maintaining excellent communication with transport teams
Adhering to Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive and Health & Safety requirements

Shift Pattern

Start times between 23:00 and 01:00
Thursday to Monday night shifts available
Average shift length of 10-12 hours
Weekend work available
Additional shifts regularly available
Long-term ongoing work

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Good understanding of UK transport legislation
Professional and reliable attitude
Ability to carry out physically demanding duties when required
