Outreach Tutor - Year 7 SEN Student - Southend on Sea

We are seeking a dedicated, patient and experienced Outreach Tutor to provide home tuition for a Year 7 student with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who is currently unable to attend school.

The student has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and we are looking for a supportive tutor who can deliver personalised, engaging and structured learning in the student's home in Southend.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the student's educational progress, confidence, wellbeing and re-engagement with learning in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver 15 hours of tuition per week, consisting of 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
• Provide tailored, one-to-one teaching in the student's home.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the student's age, ability, learning needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Support the development of core academic skills, including English and Maths, alongside other relevant Year 7 subjects.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the student's individual needs.
