Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Mobile Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Location: Yorkshire / Northwest / UK – Mobile Hours: 37.5 hours per week Job Type: Permanent Benefits: Company vehicle, paid travel time, standby allowance and enhanced overtime rates About the Company Our client is an established and growing Hard Facilities Management (FM) provider, delivering specialist engineering and maintenance services across Yorkshire, the Northwest and wider UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their mobile engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer looking for a varied role where no two days are necessarily the same, working across a diverse range of commercial and public-sector sites. You will be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, installations and compliance works, while providing a professional service to customers. What's on Offer? * Company work vehicle provided * 37.5-hour standard working week * Paid travel time after the first and last 30 minutes of each working day * £150 standby payment for participating in the call-out rota * Day-to-day (D2D) travel time paid when on call-out * Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours worked above 37.5 hours per week * Permanent position with an established and growing FM business * Varied work across multiple sites and sectors * Opportunity to develop your experience across a broad range of electrical systems * Pension 3% company /4% employee * 25 days holiday plus stats * Bupa Healthcare after probation * Group Life insurance The Role As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across a variety of customer sites. Your responsibilities will include: * Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance * Completing PPM, reactive repairs and installation works * Fault finding and repairs across a range of electrical equipment and systems * Electrical testing and inspection in line with relevant legislation and specifications * Working on systems including: * Lighting systems * Electrical distribution boards and associated circuits * Fire and intruder alarm systems * Pumps, motors and control systems * Building Management Systems (BMS) * PAT testing * HVAC systems * EV systems Responding promptly to reactive call-outs from the Helpdesk Participating in an on-call rota Providing quotes for installation and repair works, including materials and labour requirements Identifying non-repairable issues and providing recommendations to the Contract Manager Updating and maintaining accurate records on the CAFM system Working in accordance with SLAs, health & safety procedures and site regulations Travelling to various customer locations as required Maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach at all times We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer who is confident working independently and enjoys the variety that a mobile FM role can offer. You will ideally have: NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification AM2 City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing Previous experience in electrical maintenance and installation Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience maintaining and repairing a range of electrical systems and equipment The ability to work independently and use your own initiative Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines Good written and verbal communication skills Good IT/PC skills A full UK driving licence A strong customer-service focus Interested?
