Maintenance Engineer Job Description: Location: South of the UK (Travel Required) Sakary: £46,800 (Overtime available) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent (PAYE) About the Role Do you have a proven track record in repairs and maintenance? Are you a maintenance Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, reactive environment? If so, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join our Reactive Maintenance Team. The successful candidate will have a core trade (plumbing/ carpentry/ Brick laying for example) with additional naintenance skills to support across our reactive sites. The role involves travelling to commercial and retail properties across the South of the UK, carrying out high-quality repairs and maintenance works. Our services include reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and large-scale projects. We pride ourselves on quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities * Carry out reactive and planned maintenance works across multiple sites * Undertake a wide range of tasks including: Roofing Brickwork Carpentry Plumbing Decorating Tiling Minor reactive repairs (e.g. toilet blocks, waste clearance) * Complete jobs efficiently, safely, and to a high standard * Work independently or as part of a team, using initiative to resolve on-site issues * Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety regulations * Accurately complete job reports and communicate effectively with the office team Skills & Experience Required * Minimum NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade (Roofing, Carpentry, or Brickwork highly advantageous) * At least 3 years’ trade experience * Proven multi-trade maintenance background * Ability to work in a reactive, fast-paced environment * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Full UK Driving Licence (essential) What We Offer * £46,800 Starting salary. * Company van and fuel card (business use only) * Work phone * Full company uniform and PPE * 7-day call-out rota (paid on top of basic salary) * Overtime opportunities * PAYE employment with monthly pay (paid on the 5th of each month) Additional Information * Full-time, permanent position * Travel across the South of the UK is a key part of the role * Participation in an on-call rota is required
