About the role

Manufacturing Operative - Final Assembly (Electrical & Mechanical) Location: Eastleigh Department: Manufacturing Type: 6am - 2pm (Monday to Friday) Temp-to-Permanent opportunity Pay: £13.33 per hour Purpose of the Role We are looking for competent and proactive Manufacturing Operatives to support the final assembly of company products. You will play a critical role in building high-quality Air Handling Units (AHUs) and associated products, ensuring they are completed on time, to the highest standards, and in line with company engineering specifications, industry regulations, and legislative directives. This role combines hands-on assembly work whilst ensuring we consistently deliver right first time, on time, every time. Key Responsibilities Plan, design, and manufacture electrical wiring looms for company products in line with production schedules. Uphold high build standards and engineering practices for AHUs and related systems. Develop, document, and maintain best practice assembly processes Continuously improve build processes by implementing agreed changes to suit evolving product requirements. Operate safely and efficiently on the shop floor, following all factory safety procedures. Collaborate closely with design, materials, and production teams to ensure all products meet company standards and customer expectations. Champion a culture of quality by proactively identifying and resolving build issues. Provide feedback to the technical and design teams to improve future designs and assembly processes. Maintain factory standards and actively contribute to improvements in layout, tooling, and procedures. Additional Responsibilities Support mechanical installations as directed by your Line Leader or Manager. Prioritise the safety and well-being of colleagues and end-users at all times. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) On Time In Full (OTIF): ≥95% on-time completion of production orders Quality Improvement: Reduction in build errors and failed quality inspections Workflow Management: Accurate and timely posting of hours (aligned with Capacity Reservations) SMART actions implemented for delivery or quality concerns Daily clearance of work centre reservations Quality Standards: Products consistently meet quality requirements with reduced customer complaints What We're Looking For Knowledge of mechanical directive in relation to wiring and build standards Understanding of product standards and engineering practices Safety-conscious with excellent attention to detail Ready to Apply?
