Voids Supervisor

We are recruiting a Voids Supervisor for an established housing provider in Hertfordshire, supporting the delivery of responsive repairs and voids across social housing properties!

As a Voids Supervisor, you will be responsible for the delivery of repairs in all void properties, ensuring that properties are returned within agreed timescales and that works meet the Lettable Standard. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Voids Supervisor with a strong background in social housing to join an established organisation, taking responsibility for repairs delivery in all void properties.

To manage and motivate the team to deliver excellent services.
Responsible for the line management of GRT Operatives (Voids), ensuring that the void team have support to deliver works without disruption.
Responsible for the recruitment, training, and development of GRT operatives.
To co-ordinate repair works to void properties ensuring the most effective and efficient turnaround times.
To ensure that the Lettable Standard is adhered to by internal and external contractors, within agreed budgets.The successful Voids Supervisor will have:

Previous experience working as a Voids Supervisor, Repairs Supervisor, Voids Team Leader or in a similar role.
Essential experience within social housing, ideally overseeing responsive repairs and voids.
Experience managing operatives, subcontractors or external contractors.
A strong understanding of day-to-day repairs and maintenance within residential properties.
Experience carrying out property inspections and monitoring the quality of completed works.
Knowledge of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
The ability to manage workloads, prioritise repairs and resolve operational issues.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A customer-focused approach when dealing with residents and housing teams.
A full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel across the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire area.This role would suit an experienced Voids Supervisor who understands the demands of social housing maintenance, can confidently manage contractors and operatives, and is committed to delivering a high-quality repairs and void service to residents.
