The successful candidate will work within one of our database support teams and will be focused and motivated with good interpersonal skills. Your role will include optimising and tuning database performance and assisting in database migration. \n Installing and configuring database binaries \n \n Writing and maintaining scripts to automate DBA tasks \n \n Perform routine, periodic, and proactive operation and monitoring \n \n Troubleshoot database related issues \n \n Perform patching and upgrades to ensure data security \n A proactive approach towards looking for risks and problems \n \n Administration experience in a database technology such as Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc \n \n Experience of OS such as RHEL and Windows Server \n \n Experience in cloud technologies such as AWS and AWS database. \n Migrations into AWS \n \n Knowledge of database monitoring tools, such as OEM and Nagios \n \n Knowledge of database server clustering, failover, and disaster recovery \n \n Experience in database replication software, such as Data Guard, Replication Manager for PostgreSQL, and MongoDB ReplicaSets \n \n Competitive compensation \n \n Pension scheme \n \n DXC Select – Our comprehensive benefits package (includes private health/medical insurance, childcare vouchers, gym membership and more)\n \n Perks at Work (discounts on technology, groceries, travel and more)\n \n DXC incentives (recognition tools, employee lunches, regular social events etc) \At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
