The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Recovery Practitioner to join a dedicated substance misuse team supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency. This role will involve managing a caseload of service users, delivering evidence-based interventions, conducting assessments and promoting recovery-focused outcomes through tailored support plans.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within substance misuse services and be confident working independently while managing a varied (opiate/non-opiate/alcohol/mixed) and demanding caseload.

Location: West London
Contract: Temporary – 3 Months Initially (With Likely Extension)
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM
Pay Rate: £23 P/H Umbrella Ltd (£20.59 P/H PAYE Inclusive/£18.37 P/H PAYE Exclusive)
Key Responsibilities
Managing a caseload of substance misuse service users
Completing comprehensive assessments and risk assessments
Delivering structured psychosocial interventions and recovery plans
Providing one-to-one key working and support sessions
Delivering harm reduction advice and recovery-focused interventions
Supporting service users with health, wellbeing and social inclusion
Maintaining accurate and timely case management records
Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and partner agencies
Promoting safeguarding and adhering to all compliance proceduresEssential Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience working within substance misuse services
Experience working as a Recovery Practitioner
Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management
Experience managing complex caseloads and delivering interventions
Excellent communication, organisation and case recording skills
Enhanced Adults & Children DBS (within 12 months or registered on Update Service)
Valid Right to Work documentation
