Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Birmingham £45,000 - £55,000 | Hybrid | Leading Consultancy About the Role A leading multi-disciplinary Building Services Consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join one of their regional offices in Birmingham or Solihull. The business delivers mechanical, electrical and low-carbon solutions across a diverse range of sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, pharmaceutical, and public sector projects. What’s in it for you? • Competitive salary • Enhanced sickness, maternity and paternity pay • Private healthcare and Employee Assistance Programme • Bonus scheme and pension • Flexible hours and hybrid working • Generous holiday entitlement with buy/sell options • Cycle to work and electric vehicle schemes • Career development in a forward-thinking business • Fully funded team building and social events Key Responsibilities • Lead electrical design across a range of sectors • Deliver low-carbon, energy-efficient building services solutions • Mentor and support junior engineers • Attend client meetings and present technical information • Produce calculations, drawings, and specifications • Oversee quality control and ensure technical excellence • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams What we’re looking for • Strong experience in Electrical Building Services Design • Minimum 3–4 years’ post-qualification experience • Experience with Amtech, Revit, Dialux/Relux, and Microsoft Office • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regs, and ideally HTMs • Project background in healthcare, education, residential, or commercial sectors • Chartered or working towards it (CIBSE, IET) • Strong communication and project leadership skills • Knowledge of renewable energy integration and BREEAM (ideal not essential)
