Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant General Operator to support the Calibration & Maintenance department in a secure manufacturing environment in Bolton.

This role is ideal for someone with basic maintenance, facilities or engineering support experience who is looking to develop into a calibration or technical maintenance career . Full training and development are provided.

Key Responsibilities
Support facilities and equipment compliance across site
Carry out routine maintenance and compliance tasks including:
ESD testing
Electrical safety (PAT) testing
LEV filter changes
Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Respond to general/reactive maintenance requests
Maintain accurate compliance and maintenance records

Training & Progression
You will be trained and developed in:
Mechanical calibration
Electrical calibration
Use of test and measurement equipment
This role offers clear progression within the Calibration & Maintenance function.

What Were Looking For
Some experience or exposure to maintenance, facilities, engineering support or compliance (desirable, not essential)
Comfortable following procedures and completing documentation
Reliable, practical and safety-focused
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Able to work effectively in a team environment
