- 12 months Location: Hybrid 2-3 days per week in Corsham Live SC clearance essential Requirements: Seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to support the delivery of a public facing government website, aligned to GDS and Gov.UK service standards.
The role focuses on building accessible and maintainable user interfaces for content-led digital services.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary Agile delivery team, collaborating closely with content designers, content writers, back-end developers, service owners, and delivery leads to deliver high quality outcomes for the end users.
Key Responsibilities Build and maintain front-end components for a public-sector digital service Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces aligned to GDS Translate designs and prototypes into high-quality, performant front-end code Work closely with content designers and writers to support content-led journeys Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and services Ensure solutions align with GDS and GOV.UK standards, supporting iterative delivery Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement activities Essential Skills & Experience Strong front-end development experience using modern frameworks/libraries, particularly React Proven experience designing and building front-end user interfaces for digital services Strong experience using Figma to interpret designs, prototypes, and design systems Solid understanding of accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principles Experience working within Agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams Strong JavaScript/React skills, with an emphasis on maintainable, reusable code Reasonable Adjustments: Respect and equality are core values to us.
