Cover People are currently looking for Primary Teachers to support schools across South Manchester with their day-to-day and short-term staffing requirements.
Whether you're looking for regular supply work, occasional teaching days or a short-term placement, we can offer opportunities that fit around your availability. You'll have the chance to work across a variety of primary settings while continuing to provide pupils with high-quality teaching and a positive classroom experience.
We are particularly interested in hearing from teachers who are confident stepping into different year groups and can quickly establish a positive learning environment.
Your Role
Depending on the school and assignment, you may be required to:
Deliver lessons across the primary age range
Follow existing lesson plans and school schemes of work
Maintain a calm and engaging classroom
Manage behaviour positively and consistently
Adapt teaching to different pupils and year groups
Support pupils' academic progress and wider development
Work effectively with teaching assistants and school staff
Provide feedback to the class teacher following an assignment
We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience working within a UK primary school
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
Confident classroom and behaviour management
Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments
Reliable, enthusiastic and professional approach
A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and wellbeing
ECTs and experienced Primary Teachers are welcome to apply.
