Civils Supervisor

Groundworks Supervisor Location: Witham, Essex Job Type: Temporary (8 Weeks Initially – Potential for Extension) Start Date: Immediate Start Available Rate: £240 - £260 per day  The Role ARC are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to join a busy civil engineering and groundworks project based in Witham, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor who is comfortable managing site teams, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. The initial contract is expected to run for approximately 8 weeks, with the possibility of longer-term work for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Supervising groundworks operatives and subcontractors on site Setting out and checking levels, measurements and dimensions Coordinating daily site activities and ensuring works are completed to programme Ordering materials and arranging deliveries to site Monitoring labour resources and recording staff hours Conducting site inspections and maintaining high health and safety standards Liaising with site management, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings and specifications Completing site paperwork, records and progress reports as required Assisting with planning upcoming works and identifying potential issues before they impact programme Requirements Valid SSSTS certificate (Essential) Previous experience supervising groundworks or civil engineering projects Strong understanding of levels, measurements and site setting out Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Good organisational and communication skills Experience managing labour, materials and site resources Full UK Driving Licence preferred CSCS Card BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR ARC Working with one of the leading Recruitment agencies with 18 years within the marketplace, recruiting for many of the region’s leading companies.
