Senior Datalink Technical Expert

Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Senior Datalink Technical Expert to join their team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in providing expertise in datalink technical and operational matters, including investigation activities, root-cause analysis, and interaction with technical stakeholders. The position allows for remote working with occasional travel to Europe and possibly the USA. Key Responsibilities: Perform technical and operational investigations related to CPDLC, ADS-C and supporting communication infrastructures Analyse datalink performance and trends using network-level data and monitoring tools Support root-cause analysis and validation of corrective actions Facilitate coordination and information exchange among stakeholders, including ANSPs, airspace users, communication service providers, manufacturers, and institutional bodies Support structured readiness and performance follow-up activities, including seasonal operational preparedness Contribute to programme governance, documentation, reporting and knowledge management Job Requirements: Experience in data communications and communications within the Defence & Security industry Technical expertise in ADS-C, CPDLC, and VDL Mode 2 Strong analytical skills and ability to use network-level data and monitoring tools Proficiency in conducting root-cause analysis and developing corrective actions Excellent communication skills and ability to facilitate information exchange among varied stakeholders Understanding of programme governance and documentation processes Willingness to travel occasionally to Europe and the USA Contract Details: Duration: 3 years (full-time or high part-time) Remote work with occasional travel Engage in high-level technical and operational assignments If you possess significant expertise in datalink communications and are passionate about contributing to the Defence & Security industry, we encourage you to apply.
