Fire Risk Assessor 📍 Northumberland / Hybrid & Field Based 📅 12 Month Fixed Term Contract We are currently supporting the appointment of a Fire Risk Assessor on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This role will focus on carrying out fire risk assessments across a broad and varied property portfolio including schools, depots, libraries, community buildings and historic buildings across Northumberland. Key responsibilities: • Conduct on-site fire risk assessments across a wide range of properties • Identify fire hazards including ignition sources, fuel loads and building vulnerabilities • Assess fire detection systems, emergency lighting, fire doors, escape routes and compartmentation • Produce detailed PAS79-1:2020 compliant fire risk assessment reports • Provide fire safety advice and recommendations to building managers and responsible persons • Carry out follow-up visits to monitor progress against recommendations • Maintain accurate records and update fire safety databases • Support colleagues and share technical fire safety knowledge where required • Liaise with enforcement agencies and insurers where necessary Excellent opportunity to work across a varied property estate with significant autonomy and exposure to a wide range of building types.
