Listen to our latest podcast, from Dreamers to Disruptors, and follow us at @Medidata.About the Team:The Professional Services Operational Advisor - Data Quality and Risk Surveillance (DQRS) is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) role focusing on advising and mentoring our clients/partners during and after implementation of Medidata Clinical Cloud Products on our Unified Platform, primarily Clinical Data Studio. Using your operational experience in Clinical Operations, Data Management, Clinical Programming and/or risk management during the lifecycle of a clinical trial, you will be a key member of the Medidata Professional Services team, driving the successful implementation and adoption of one or more Medidata Clinical Cloud Products.Responsibilities:Key activities performed by the Professional Services Operational Advisor (DQRS) will include:Provide strategic input, guidance, advice, knowledge and best practices to support client/partners in driving implementation and adoption of Medidata Clinical Cloud ProductsAdvise and mentor clients/partners during implementation which includes workshop deliveryEstablish “Trusted Advisor” Partner relationship through effective consultationProvide operational expertise during and after Implementation and Enablement activitiesDevelop and maintain relationships with internal Subject Matter ExpertsAttend Key Operational Meetings in support of Medidata Clinical Cloud ProductsWork closely with the relevant Sales team members to support further adoption of product across the platformWhere appropriate, develop operational specific materials to support the use of Medidata Clinical Cloud ProductsProvide reporting support to clients and enable them to analyze and gain insights into their clinical and operational dataDeliver new release technical overviews, knowledge transfer and risk assessments to support implementation of new releases (where applicable)Provide proactive communication to stakeholdersCoach and train new and junior team membersThe Professional Services Operational Advisor (DQRS) is responsible for maintaining a high-level of expertise for DQRS Products. They are expected to invest approximately 15% of their time in the following key internal Medidata activities:Maintain individual Product and Industry expertise by attending regular Product Training and external industry training, e.g. conferences.Along with other Operational Advisors, lead the maintenance and development of the Accreditation program for the relevant Medidata Clinical Cloud Products ensuring it is kept up to date and relevant with new release informationSupport training of wider Professional Services team to enhance Product and Industry knowledge across teamSubmit defect and enhancements on behalf of clients that require addressing by Medidata Product teamsProvide operational insight to defect and enhancement requestsProvide operational input to Medidata's implementation process, best practices and collateral roadmaps ensuring that Professional Services team is representedAttend specific Product Forums related to Medidata Clinical Cloud ProductsEnsure Medidata's Quality System Documents (QSDs) and other process documents are up to date as products and processes evolveCollaborate with Medidata Global Education Team on the development of training plans and collateral material.Qualifications:Ability to challenge processes that are inefficient or counterproductive and establish/deploy new processes to improve efficiency, strong change management and collaboration skillsDemonstrated practical knowledge of Clinical trial software technologyExcellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (public speaking and teaching), presentation and writing skillsProven ability to successfully work independently on new projects and initiatives while also being able to collaborate with others when needed to achieve goalsAbility to overcome obstacles, troubleshoot and reach resolutionsWillingness for up to 30% national/international travel timeBe self-motivatedDemonstrate they can work independentlySeen to take initiative and demonstrate responsibility and accountabilityCollaborate well with other functions/departmentsTypically requires 8+ years experience from Clinical Operations or Data Management roles in Sponsor, CRO or other equivalent organizationsClinical trial risk identification and management experience requiredDegree required or equivalent experienceMedidata employees: At a minimum Senior Implementation Consultant or Senior Project Manager level (or above)Leading change & strategic thinkingCreating/leading strategic initiativesLeading teams - both internal and customer - during the implementation of a 'change management (or other)' initiativeConsulting/advising customersSenior/Exec level engagement with customers - and internal stakeholdersInvolvement in the selling process - and making presentations to customersBase pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
