About the role
Responsibilities
* Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce components according to specifications and drawings.
* Set up and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workpieces for optimal machining performance.
* Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
* Perform basic maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret CAD designs and implement necessary modifications.
* Handle materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment.
* Maintain accurate records of production output and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
Skills & Experience:
* 2 years+ previous experience Programming, Setting and Operating
* Ideally experienced with Lathe Machines
* Background producing CNC machined components to a high standards
Benefits:
* 39-hour flexible working week.
* Monday to Thursday core hours 8-30 to 15:15 (factory open 6:30 to 17:30 for flexible working)
* Early finish Friday 12:30pm
* Sickness scheme after qualifying period
* 23 days (rising to 28) holiday plus 8 bank holidays
* Pension 4% after qualifying period.
