Electrical Maintenance Engineer

West Wales|Rotating 12 hour days (1 Week 3 days, 1 week 4 days)
Have you worked in electrical maintenance on industrial plant or machinery? This could be a great move if you want to put those skills to work in a different setting. Our client has a strong order book, a solid reputation and plenty of work ahead of them. Their biomass facility plays an important part in supporting a large manufacturing site, and you would help keep it running safely and reliably. You do not need previous biomass experience: your electrical maintenance and fault-finding skills are what matter most.
What you will do Operate and monitor the biomass plant safely and efficiently.
Carry out inspections, planned maintenance and electrical fault finding.
Respond to breakdowns and help keep the plant reliable.
Spot developing issues through routine checks and condition monitoring.
Support commissioning, plant improvements and contractors working on site.
Work closely with colleagues and maintain strong safety, reporting and housekeeping standards.
What we are looking for An electrically biased maintenance engineer or technician with hands-on experience of industrial plant and machinery.
Confidence finding faults and maintaining equipment in a busy operational setting.
Experience from manufacturing, water treatment, utilities, power generation, combustion or another process environment. Food and automotive manufacturing backgrounds are also welcome.
Plant operating or monitoring experience would be useful; biomass experience is not essential.
An HNC or equivalent technical background would be an advantage. Recently qualified electrical or engineering apprentices with relevant industrial experience are welcome to apply.
