Experienced Freight Forwarding Clerks – Air & Sea Freight Our client is a well-established freight forwarding company based in Manchester, and due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their operations team with two experienced freight forwarding professionals. We are currently recruiting for: * Experienced Air Freight Clerk – Import & Export * Experienced Sea Freight Clerk – Import & Export Both positions require a minimum of 3 years' experience within freight forwarding, with strong knowledge of import and export processes. Experienced Air Freight Clerk – Import & Export The successful candidate will have solid experience handling air freight shipments from start to finish, with a good understanding of both import and export procedures. Key responsibilities: * Managing air freight shipments from booking through to final delivery * Handling both import and export documentation * Liaising with airlines, overseas agents, customers and suppliers * Preparing and processing shipping documentation * Monitoring shipment progress and providing customers with regular updates * Arranging collections and deliveries * Dealing with customs requirements and ensuring compliance * Resolving any shipment issues or delays efficiently * Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all systems are kept up to date * Providing a high level of customer service throughout the shipment process Experienced Sea Freight Clerk – Import & Export The successful candidate will have strong sea freight experience and be confident managing both import and export shipments. Key responsibilities: * Managing sea freight shipments from booking through to delivery * Handling both import and export shipments * Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, customers and suppliers * Preparing and checking shipping documentation * Coordinating collections, deliveries and shipment movements * Dealing with customs procedures and clearance requirements * Monitoring shipments and proactively managing any delays or issues * Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate shipment records * Providing customers with regular updates and excellent service * Working closely with colleagues and overseas partners to ensure smooth shipment movements If you have 3+ years' freight forwarding experience and are looking for your next opportunity in either Air Freight or Sea Freight, we would be keen to hear from you.
