Quality Assurance Engineer

Climb Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading Engineering company in the Sheffield area Role: Quality Assurance Engineer Role Responsibilities • Support and maintain the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry standards. • Investigate internal and external quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions. • Manage non‑conformances, containment, CAPA activities, and verification of effectiveness. • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection standards, work instructions, and product release records. • Support New Product Introduction activities including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and customer‑specific requirements. • Collaborate with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement. • Conduct process, product, and layered audits; support customer and third‑party audits. • Monitor and report quality KPIs, analyse trends, and support improvement initiatives. • Manage customer complaints, non‑conforming product, and containment actions. • Support supplier quality performance, issue resolution, and compliance. • Conduct risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are in place. • Maintain calibration and tooling control for inspection and measurement equipment. • Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to support inspection and product release. • Promote a proactive quality culture across the business.
