HGV Class 2 Driver

This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and hardworking Class 2 Drivers looking for regular Monday-Friday work, early starts, early finishes and a genuine long-term position.

Salary - £31,694

£16.43 per hour

The Role

As a Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will be responsible for operating refuse collection vehicles and supporting the collection of household and commercial waste across the local area.

You'll work as part of a dedicated team, helping to provide an essential waste collection service to the local community.

Working pattern:

Monday to Friday
Early starts and early finishes
Regular, ongoing work
PAYE position
Long-term opportunity

Your Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle
Drive designated routes and collection areas
Work closely with the refuse collection team
Ensure waste is collected safely and efficiently
Carry out daily vehicle checks
Report any vehicle defects or issues
Follow all relevant health & safety procedures
Comply with drivers' hours and transport legislation
Maintain a professional attitude when working in the community

We're looking for reliable, safety-conscious and hardworking drivers who are comfortable working as part of a team and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Essential:

Valid Class 2 / Cat C licence
Good understanding of drivers' hours and road safety
Reliable and punctual
Professional attitude
Good communication skills
Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
