West Lothian Education Services are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join the advanced pupil support worker supply list to provide support across all school sectors. Advanced Pupil Support Workers work under the direction of a designated class teacher,  to work with and support children and young people across school by undertaking a range of activities relating to the general supervision, safety, care and well being of pupils.
Alongside the class teacher, you will be supporting and building positive relationships with children and young people.  The young person will look to form a bond with you to help them succeed despite their severe and complex needs and typically severe learning difficulties.  The work can involve assisting with a young person’s personal care and hygiene.
The successful candidates will work as part of a forward-thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of each child, providing high quality interactions and learning experiences.
