The firm is defined by its engineering excellence, fast-paced innovation, and collaborative culture.We are seeking a Technical Operations Engineer with deep experience in Linux and Python to join a critical systems team. This is a high-impact role supporting and evolving the firm’s real-time trading infrastructure in partnership with traders, developers, and other technologists.ResponsibilitiesMaintain, monitor, and support the firm’s electronic trading systems with a focus on performance, uptime, and operational stabilityCollaborate closely with development teams to drive improvements in trading system functionality and reliabilityDesign and implement automation tools to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency across infrastructure processesTroubleshoot complex issues involving networking, custom applications, and hardware systemsExecute infrastructure and configuration changes within a global change management frameworkParticipate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage and rapid response to production issuesRequired Experience & SkillsDegree in STEM subject preferredExpertise in Linux systems administration and troubleshootingProficient in Python scripting for automation and infrastructure toolingStrong grasp of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, UDP, and multicastConfident handling issues across hardware, software, and network layersProven experience supporting mission-critical, low-latency systems in a production environmentEffective multitasker able to operate under pressure and prioritize in real timeNice to haveBackground in electronic or algorithmic trading environmentsFamiliarity with Grafana or other monitoring/visualization toolsExposure to Windows Server/Active Directory environmentsPlease note:My client does not provide visa sponsorship—applicants must have current and unrestricted work eligibility in the US.Quant Capital operates with full discretion—your confidentiality is always respected.
