Based within a busy secondary processing and cutting plant in Stevenage, this role is ideal for someone with strong knife skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment. What’s in it for you £14.00 per hour Temp-to-perm opportunity, part time hours Overtime available when required Opportunity to grow within an expanding business Stable, long-term opportunity within an established company On-site parking available Structured scheduling and weekly team meetings Working hours Monday, Thursday, Friday 05:00 – 15:00 Potential Saturday morning overtime depending on workload Your responsibilities as a Meat Cutter Strip joints and prepare primal cuts Cut steaks to specification Prepare chicken and other meat products Work accurately to production targets and customer specifications Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness What we’re looking for in a Meat Cutter Previous experience within a meat cutting, butchery or processing environment Good knife skills and manual dexterity Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early starts Strong attention to quality, hygiene, and consistency Physically fit and comfortable in a demanding production environment Willingness to learn and develop site-specific skills and processes About the business This long-established family business supplies approximately 90% of its products to catering customers including schools and care homes, alongside a successful retail butchery shop.
