Group HR Director - Mayfair, London Luxury Hotel Group £125,000 base plus up to 25% bonus The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and commercially astute Group Human Resources Director to join a luxury hotel business with four properties in London, one in USA (with large expansion plans for USA.)
The role calls for a confident, credible and highly visible HR leader who can operate both strategically and hands-on across a fast-paced, people-focused hospitality environment. Working closely with senior leadership and property teams, you will play a key role in shaping the people strategy, strengthening culture and supporting operational performance.
This is not a behind-the-scenes HRD role. It requires presence, pace and genuine partnership with the business. You will be expected to build trust quickly, provide clear and commercially balanced advice, and lead with both authority and warmth.
The ideal candidate will bring strong, multi-site, international, luxury hospitality experience and the ability to balance strategic people leadership with the realities of a dynamic multi-property operation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the people strategy across the group, ensuring HR is commercially aligned, proactive and visible within the operation
Support the people strategy for future international growth, including upcoming expansion plans in the USA
Help shape scalable people practices, policies and leadership frameworks that can support both the existing London properties and future openings.
Provide HR insight into international expansion planning, including talent mapping, leadership capability, culture transfer and operational readiness.
Work closely with the leadership team to help protect and translate the brands culture as the business grows into new international markets. xwzovoh
Lead and develop the HR function, ensuring consistent standards, clear processes and a high level of professional credibility across all properties
Use people data, trends and insight to provide practical, commercially informed recommendations to senior stakeholders
Contribute to wider business planning while remaining close enough to the operation to understand the realities of day-to-day luxury hospitality
Key Requirements
Previous experience as a Human Resources Director or equivalent senior HR leadership role within luxury hospitality
Hands-on, visible and operationally engaged, with a genuine understanding of the demands of luxury hospitality
Strong background in multi-site and/or international luxury hotels, private members clubs, high-end restaurants or premium hospitality environments is imperative
Excellent understanding of USA employment law highly advantageous
Exposure to new hotel openings or multi-country luxury hospitality operations within a fast-paced business imperative
Able to support a business through growth and expansion, with the commercial awareness to balance brand consistency, local market expectations and operational realities.
Strong leadership capability, with the ability to support, coach and influence managers at all levels
Comfortable constructively challenging where required
Highly organised, solutions-focused and able to work at pace while maintaining professionalism and consistency
Strong communication skills, with the confidence and credibility to build trust quickly across all levels of the business
