Assistant Accountant

Our client, a reputable accountancy practice based in Watford, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Permanent Assistant Accountant to join their friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client bookkeeping, preparing annual financial statements, and creating budgets in Xero to aid clients with forecasting. You will liaise directly with clients to ensure the accuracy of their financial records and assist with VAT returns, payrolls, and month-end procedures. The role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
