As one of the world’s largest construction and development companies, we work together with customers, communities and partners to shape a better society.You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag, our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects – 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.We are currently looking for a Senior Engineer who will:As the Senior Engineer, you will:Develop the design, construction methodology, programme and costPrepare for the delivery of the works, including resources, procurement, consents, and pre start documentationManage, supervise, train and mentor the site team to enable them to optimise their work contributionReview contractual agreements and develop detailed site specific programmes and forecast budgets, assess actual programme and productivity achieved and review weekly, taking action where appropriate, and reporting any changes to the Construction Manager and QS departmentBe fully conversant with subcontractor’s contract conditions, assist to develop job specific subcontract conditions and manage the subcontractors account with the QS teamRequisitioning resources in a timely manner to ensure that they are correctly specified and readily available so as not to impede the construction programmeWe are looking for:Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in EngineeringKnowledge and understanding of working to and implementing construction contractsAbility to use initiative based on engineering and practical experienceCapable of working independently and proactively to progress works but also skilled at working collaboratively with other integrated team members and external stakeholders for the overall benefit of the projectComputer competence (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Document Control Systems, Auto CAD)Relevant CSCS CardTraining in Health & Safety and Environmental managementWhat we offer:24/7 digital GP service for you and your family Financial wellbeing and employee assistance Professional development Enhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity, dependants and parental bereavement leave) Inclusion and Diversity We thrive through embracing differences as we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
