Senior Mechanical Engineer - Building Services / MEP Senior Mechanical Engineer Birmingham An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing multidisciplinary Building Services consultancy in Birmingham. This Senior Mechanical Engineer role offers the chance to work within an expanding MEP team delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors. This position is ideal for an ambitious Mechanical Engineer with experience within an MEP / Building Services consultancy who is looking for genuine career progression, increased responsibility, and the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects within a collaborative environment. The successful Engineer will play a key role in the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept through to completion, working closely with senior leadership, clients, and multidisciplinary design teams. Senior Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities Mechanical building services design including HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, and public health systems Delivering projects across all RIBA work stages Coordinating with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams Supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the team Managing and contributing to technically challenging building services projects Assisting with project delivery from initial concept through to completion Producing detailed mechanical design calculations and specifications Working collaboratively within a growing MEP / Building Services team Requirements Minimum 4 years’ experience within an MEP / Building Services consultancy Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering Strong understanding of mechanical building services design Experience using industry software such as Revit, AutoCAD, IES, or Hevacomp beneficial Excellent communication and coordination skills Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership desirable Previous experience delivering building services projects within the UK No visa sponsorship available for this position Benefits Competitive salary 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays Team bonus scheme Pension scheme Hybrid and flexible working Phone and laptop provided Cycle to work scheme Clear career progression within a growing consultancy Supportive and collaborative working environment This Senior Mechanical Engineer opportunity would suit a motivated Mechanical Engineer looking to progress their career within a growing Building Services consultancy offering long-term development and exposure to a wide range of MEP projects.
